The autopsy results are back and it seems that Anna-Nicole Smith died of an accidental drug overdose, with nothing untoward to suggest that foul play was involved. I’d love to think this means that the major news outlets will get back to reporting real news (such as the referendum in Egypt today that’s so obviously rigged that it gives new meaning to the term “transparent government”), but I’m also enough of a realist to know that’s not going to happen. After all, she’s young and pretty and it’s not like anyone could have seen it coming — as long as they never watched her show. So much for quality in the media. Sigh.
