I mentioned that I banged up my foot pretty bad, and that it had turned a nicely spectacular shade of purple. I wasn’t kidding:

Considering that I walked into the boat tie-down at a good pace, I’m probably very lucky that I hit it where I did — I could have broken a toe or two in the process.

Let this be a warning: always watch where you’re walking. And wear shoes.
