OK, I admit it. I’m a stats whore. I’m one of those people who checks his blog stats multiple times hourly daily.
Recently, I moved all of my photos off of this server (long story, don’t ask) and finally accepted Flickr.com as my lord and savior. One of the fun things about Flickr is that it has stats built in — heh heh. Which is all fine and good, except that since I moved my photos over the hands down most popular photo I have is this one:
Seriously. It’s a stuffed cow in a massage chair. I shoot Moroccan tiles and whirling dervishes and sunsets on the beach and this–this?–is my most popular photo.
People keep me guessing, I tell ya.

You could easily start your own “Cute with Chris” with pictures like this. However, someone’s already has that name. For some inexplicable reason, people including yours truly, have swallowed the Kool-Aid on cute and ridiculous things. People like to see odd pics and cute overload.
With my Flickr pics, the popular ones are of beautiful men or of the women photographed at Comic-Con. I’ve gotten hits because I tagged a picture with “boobies,” “breasts,” etc. This makes me think there’s something quite puerile about the Flickr crowd.
I didn’t know that I could have stats on flickr!
I have activated my stats (I guess they only do it if you ask). Although the picture of the Syrian goat seems to have the most views:
I think that’s pretty appropriate. It is an awesome goat, after all.
