In case you’re a champion procrastinator, or if you’re still undecided about what to get that special someone, the fine folks at Saturday Night Live had an interesting idea to share on last night’s broadcast. You can see it at:

(There’s a short ad before the actual video clip. It’s worth sitting through it, though.)

Hope you had a good weekend!

My Excuse

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

Dear _________,

I am rather elated that I will be unable to attend your “wake me when it’s over” holiday house party. I will be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and thus at a safe distance from your plastic smile and your unnaturally white teeth. Once the holidays are past, I hope to see you only from a great distance. Please give my condolences to your party guests, and tell them I believe life’s really dark moments never fail to build character. My best wishes for a fruitcake-filled and flatulent holiday.

Fun parties rule,
me.

If you need assistance composing the perfect holiday kiss-off, perhaps the Holiday Party Excuse Generator will also help you!

So wrong.

A friend sent me one of those e-mail forwards titled “The 14 Hardest-to-find XMAS toys.”

Some of them are kind of lame, but the one that made me laugh really hard is this one:

You have to have a sense of humor if you work in my field, because otherwise you start taking yourself way too seriously, and that’s where people like Bill and Rush come from…

Happy Wednesday!
